         With the rapid development of semiconductor lasers (laser diodes) technology, LD-pumped all-solid-state lasers (DPSSL), fiber lasers (FOL) and their applications technology have developed rapidly, owing to their excellent advantages like small volume, light weight, high efficiency, stable performance, reliability, long service life and high beam quality. They have been applied into many subject areas and greatly promoted the unprecedented progress of these fields. The emergence of these interdisciplinary usages has highly promoted the development of the traditional and new industries. This discipline research mainly combine solid-state lasers of series wavelength, optical fiber laser technology, laser application technology research and laser device industrialization development together, specific research directions including:


● High power (high energy),  narrow pulse all solid-state lasers of infrared, green light, red light, blue light, UV, deep UV and its application technology

● Solid-state optical parametric oscillation lasers and application technology

● High power solid-state Raman lasers and application technology

● High power optical fiber lasers of infrared, green light, red light, blue light and its application technology

● High power near infrared optical fiber laser and oil underground perforating technology
