Education & Research Experiences:

Zhan Yongjie received his bachelor degree and Master degree in department of physics, Sichuan university at 1990 and 1996 respectively. Received his Ph.D in department of physics, Nanjing Univerisity at Jun. 2003, under the guidance of Professor Wang Guanghou, a famous scientist in cluster physicsand Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences. From Sep.2004 to Sep.2007, worked in School of Chemisty and Materials Science, University Of Science & Technology of China as Postdoctoral researcher, and from Apr. 2008 to Oct. 2012, worked in Department of Mechanicals Mngineering& Materials Sciences (MEMS), Rice University (Houston,Taxas,USA) as Postdoctoral researcher. From Sep. 2012 to present, working as an associate professor in Institute of Photonics & Photon-Technology, Northwest University.

Research Fields:

1.Fabrication of novel nanomaterials (1D: nanowires and nanorods, 2D: Graphene and Graphene-like few layers materials and corresponding Composite materials ) through hydrothermal/solvothermal and Chemical vapor deposition(CVD) methods.

2. Unique physical/chemicals properties of these nano-matreials and their potential applications in industry.
